Through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA the government is now behind 80% of new home loans.  These huge housing subsides will cost tax payers half a trillion in the end.  Even worse, these programs only encourage people who can not afford a house to borrow more than they should.  When will we stop making the same mistake over and over again? 

The federal budget deficit tripled to a record $1.4 trillion for the 2009 fiscal year that ended last week, congressional analysts said Wednesday.

The worse part of the article is the lie that this administration "inherited" the deficit from the Bush administration.  What?!  Are you serious?  I don't think so.

According to the politician pages on this site there is a total of 525 members between the senate and house of representatives. At a yearly salary of $178,000.00 per member, our total annual cost comes to a whopping 93 million, 450 thousand dollars. That's over a 1/4 of a million dollars per day for 365 days.Read more

This might be old news, but I think if some folks did some more investigative reporting into Valerie Johnson (the one rumored to have vetted Obama's czars) lots of "new" news would be found.

It looks like Valerie Johnson violated campaign donations laws, pulling an ACORN like stunt and altering her name in order to make double donations.  Picture attached below.Read more
