Dear [Name of Politician]
Let this letter serve as both a plea and a warning. We, the American people, have elected you to serve in the position you hold by virtue of a majority vote. We elected you to this position to represent us.
The American people are scared and angry now. As a result, we are taking action. We look at every bill that is proposed. We study, analyze and research issues from across the globe. We are thorough and dedicated and are arming ourselves with the ammunition of knowledge, understanding and activism. Our capability of interpolation is almost limitless and accurate.
We chose you with our votes and we will use our votes to pass judgment on your performance. Know that we are watching, listening, reading and most importantly, talking. Your actions are being evaluated. Your words are being listened to. Your future votes are being counted, weighed and judged.
Currently there are enormous issues to deal with. The economy, unemployment, government and corporate corruption, health care, and the environment are such issues. These issues are deeply intertwined with the fabric of our life, and as a result we ask you to honestly look at everything before you vote on anything. We ask that you please set aside any agendas for the time being and take a detailed look at how your vote will impact the future of our country. We ask that you vote based on your values and morals and not on what is politically correct. We ask that you strive, first and foremost, to serve instead of seeking ways to be served.
You hold our fate in your hands, just as we hold yours. At some point you will have to face us. You are beholden to your constituents, and we are fully engaged. Support us, and we will support you. Reject us and we will reject you. Know that any disfavor you may fall into with your party will not compare with the support we are capable of giving you. We are weary of seeing the arrogance and lack of effort currently demonstrated in D.C. We are tired of the half truths, spin and lies. The recent actions in D.C. have awakened a sense of community in this nation. This community is being formed by people of all parties, age groups and backgrounds. Be assured that this community will respond based on how you handle the trust we have bestowed upon you.
Sincerely,
