Obama Bow

Here is a picture of Obama bowing to the Japanese Emperor.  A bow is given in Japan as a sign of respect (and as a sign of "pecking" order).  The lower the bow, the greater the recognition of your position to the other person.  If you notice, the Emperor barely folds at the hips.  Not much of a bow.  He is simply recognizing the President as a peer and showing he respects him.  The president is folded at the hips....something normally reserved for a servent to a master, a child to an adult, a worker to a boss.  If you read the article you will see a picture of Dick Cheney greeting the same person.  Neither one bows.  I would say this is a more equal greeting and more fitting of their position.  This is traditional Obama trying to be political correct and accepted.  He is like the naive kid who just graduated from high school and is spending the summer backpacking around Europe and being socially sensitive to a degree that is unbecoming.
