Our costs

By rubberlegs - Posted on 05 October 2009

According to the politician pages on this site there is a total of 525 members between the senate and house of representatives. At a yearly salary of $178,000.00 per member, our total annual cost comes to a whopping 93 million, 450 thousand dollars. That's over a 1/4 of a million dollars per day for 365 days. $256,027.39 which is inaccurate, it is much higher than that because they do not work 365 days a year. Additional perks would bring these figures even higher. All this math can be boring for most but for hard working people with both husband and wife working to make ends meet I doubt they have taken the time to do the math.

All of this is to bring the point home, can anyone tell me what in hell's name are we getting for a 1/4 + million dollars a day? Honestly I am appalled to know that in the last 10 months what has been accomplished? Just failure after failure, and let's not forget to put Obama's salary and costs to these numbers.

A whole day was spent sensoring Wilson because he said "you lie", is that worth 1/4 + million dollars? I DON'T THINK SO. Yet hear me well, we will be taxed. Not just those making over $250,000.00 a year but each and every one of us.

There is no bill that won't cost every working American something. So get prepared to dig into your pockets to pay for whatever bill these idiots do pass. Sadly also get prepared with what you or your children are  going to do without, to generate the money.

Tis a sad state of affairs indeed!
